While I enjoy everything I do, I promised myself this year that I would take more time to do stuff just for me, and for my mental health. I finally started working on this skull again. I'm going to put a little time in on it every Sunday until it is finally finished. Then... I don't know what I will do with it. Maybe sell it... Not sure. Maybe hang it in my studio? **Update** For those of you that have asked, I'm still working on an arrowhead collection featuring earrings, dread beads, pendants, etc! It is just taking me a bit because I've decided to use a bunch of copper geometric design elements. Instead of purchasing pre-pressed copper sheets, etc, I've opted to forge and texturize them myself using recycled electric wire. It is more time consuming, but I feel it will make for an even better collection! I put the finishing touches on this mixed media piece. I didn't really make a new year's resolution or anything, but, I think I'm going to take the time this year to paint more. Not a lot of folks know this, but painting is my favorite medium. I simply have no studio space right now, so I can't really paint in the scale I would like to... It took me forever to make this because I couldn't pick just 9, and there are a lot of things I had to leave out. Last year was an amazing year, full of difficult challenges and a lot of hard work. I learned lots of new things about my craft that continues to reflect within this crazy journey of self growth. Last year was also fun, crazy, and I made friends with lots of fantastic folks within the art community. I was also blessed with the opportunity to collaborate with the beautiful, and talented @morgin_riley and fantastic photographer @witchy_photographer, and many other wonderful, kind people. If I listed everyone, we would be reading for a while! I'm truly blessed, as I have a loving, strong group of fantastic customers and friends that return over and over again to invest in my work. You all are amazing and give me the best reason to get up everyday and be excited about what I do.
