“You’re not still going to marry a lawyer, right?”
“Nah. But I might kiss one or two. They’ll never replace you.”
“I hope not. Our love is God.”
“I wouldn’t want to start a pantheon.”
Getting into musicals the same way that I loved them last summer is an incredible feeling.
I feel like I'm discovering them again, but because I have memories with them from last year, the New Thing joy is coupled with such nostalgia that it's almost overwhelming.
I remember the feeling of writing at three in the morning with a cup of black tea next to me and The Story of Tonight coming through my earbuds.
I remember the feeling of spending days in my room, laying out storylines on my window with a dry erase marker, with For Forever in the background.
Of doing schoolwork to Michael in the Bathroom.
Of hearing Life Support over the sound of my typewriter.
Each story meant something to me then, but there's so much more to them now. The sentimental value that each one holds means that I couldn't let go of them if I wanted to.
I'm not mad about it.
Heathers the musical
Right so I've rewritten the whole of Seventeen for the Corona Virus. Keep in mind, I'm terrible at writing songs. Enjoy!
Fine! It's boring
Really boring
But that does not make it right
We're not special, we're not different
We shouldn't go out tonight
Lets stay inside
Watch some movies
Sneak a beer and watch TV
We'll bake brownies
Do some yoga
Won't you isolate with me?
Can't we just quarantine?
That's all we have to do
If you could just stay in
It could be good for you
Corona's scary
It could hurt us
And you're right, that really blows
But we stay safe
Wash our hands well
And we keep changing our clothes
We'll do painting
Play some poker
And we'll eat some chilli fries
Maybe music
Maybe dancing
We don't have to go outside
Outside
Can't we just quarantine?
Is that so hard to do?
If we could just stay in
It will be good for you
Let us just quarantine
Then we will be alright
So what's it gonna be?
I wanna stay inside
I wanna stay inside
Tonight
Yeah it's boring
Really boring
But your love's too good to lose
Social distance
Don't get closer
Stay home if I'm what you choose
Can't we just quarantine?
If I am what you choose
Then we will be alright
Cause you're the one I choose
You're the one I choose
Safety's what we choose
Stay safe everyone!
