SELAH!!! Just hearing about Kanye’s new album and recent revelations.... wow. What happened? I was a HUGE fan when he dropped college dropout back when I was a early intern at @interscope records. I loved that he was a producer/ musician and thought that his music was more authentic because it was pure in the creative process from idea, production, song writing and performance. There is something special about having full control from concept to finished product. Authentic artistry from a connected source seems to be a lost style these days and was super refreshing. I had the privilege to work on some marketing stuff on 808’s and Heartbreak and was kinda the last time I really followed his music. Today, I got to hear his newest album and LOVE IT! Melodies, grooves, lyrics, vibe... people prob gonna hate on it but I think it’s genius and excited to see what momentum builds from here. I think this might be the single greatest movement where the Christian culture and pop culture collide. Hopefully the spiritual movements build momentum and instead of hate, people can embrace transformation and support the Christian innovators of TOMORROW. He’s a musical and culture genius that should be celebrated and not hated.... excited!!!
