but also because he's so completely unafraid to be everything that he is and feel everything that he's feeling--he's so unafraid of everything life has to offer and dives in head first because he's red and gold and sizzling with the kind of heat that only gryffindors truly know because you know that push comes to shove, he would push a friend aside to take the curse, whatever it may be, without even thinking about it like his body would just move and i don't even think he'd try to counter the spell or anything, he'd just shield them with his own body and i think thats the kind of almost reckless bravery that gryffindors sometimes have a bit too much of :)
