another long day where he feels stuck at home. there's a silver lining to it. once again, the curly haired blond is with him and he can have another long session with him. he feels his boy's hole clench around him, but he isn't going to take it easy on him. he never does at the end of the day. "y'know it'll feel better if you relax, right?" a dark smile forms on his face. his right hand moves up to grab a fistful of the other's curls. "c'mon baby, get closer to daddy." then he pulls his head up so that he can force their back to arch a bit more. "that's it. you look so pretty like that." his left hand comes crashing down on the cheek, giving it a quick spank. "tell me how much you like this."

admittedly, tanner tends to be a bit of a workaholic, but more of that habit comes from the fact that he makes friends in the industry almost too easily. he's taken to seattle like he has every other city he's spent an extended amount of time in, he's already taking on more than anyone else would. the rehearsals have been going better than expected and he's been doing some guest choreographing at an old ballet school friend's dance studio. naturally, it's his idea for wesley to bring willow in for a beginner jazz class, free of charge. it's the only thing he asks for as 'payment', not that he'd ever really take anything from her. he's waiting in the lobby for the two of them by the time they come in the glass door and he smiles, waving them both over. "glad you could make it." he shoots wesley a grin and it softens as he leans down to willow's eye level. "how you feeling? confident? you and i both know you've got this."

every morning, just before the crack of dawn, isaiah wakes from the same dream. he dreams of his brother, of a cloud of smoke and the cracks of gunshots. he dreams of blood so thick as he wades through it, catching at his ankles as he drags himself ever forward. he dreams of reaching out a hand and finding nothing at all. he wakes in darkness, startled and strung out, wishing he'd bought himself a bottle to spend his day nursing instead of persisting in this attempt to kick his bad habit. he rustles out from the white sheet atop his mattress, landing on the floor of the small room in the rundown cabin he's called home for the last two years. he swears it looks better than when he bought it, but he can't say for sure. the water runs and the lights work, which is more than he can say for the state it was in originally. he has plans to get to town today, but he's got that in the back of his mind. his bigger concern right now is getting something in his system. isaiah wanders over to the fridge, getting out whatever looks to be not growing mould and the milk carton, which he opens and brings towards his nose. noting the off smell, he grimaces. "fucking hell." he brings it over to the sink, pouring out chunks that make him look away and washes it down the drain. he stares out at the overgrown grass on the property, knowing he'll have to hire a ride on mower again. it's just part of the routine, maintaining the place. he's not putting down roots. he can't. though sometimes when he looks out the windows around the cabin, he thinks about getting a fucking chicken coop or some goats, as if livening up the place with animals will change anything. it occurs to him then that in the second fridge he has out in the small garage that houses his pride and joy, there's that milk his overzealous neighbour brought over over the weekend. her attempts to make friends with him have never connected, but he supposes now he may be grateful for the annoyance of her presence. the walk is short, the grass pressed down from the usual path he takes from the house to the garage. it's a structure he extended himself from a small shed used to house gardening tools that mostly held rats by the time the property belonged to him. the one thing he's refused to part with from his old life, a black mercury cougar, sat within it. slipping into the garage is habit by this point, his hand pulls the keys out of his pocket before his other hand lands on the door handle, only to find it unlocked. it gives him pause as he tucks the key back into his pocket, standing up straighter. his ears become more attuned, his movements more cautious as he slips into the small room. the dark haired man makes his way towards the gun safe, swiftly unlocking it before he wrenches his shotgun from within it. he holds it with confidence, the way he's held it many times before. isaiah moves slowly and carefully, pushing the door open to the larger area of the garage where his car sits, hearing movement from over where his workbench and the fridge are. "you got about ten seconds to show yourself, or i'll take it as the right to blow your fucking head off." he calls out, calculated steps carrying him around the front of the car, as he edges towards where he knows the other person is. it's not until he gets close to the fridge that he spots them, his gun still raised with the promise of following through on his threat. "get up. how did you get in here?"

it's a very fair question, to which tristan's lips part as he tries to find a good answer for why he happens to be on the farm that isn't 'my father is trying to buy up your land and wants me to make friendly'. he's trying to play this cool, to be likeable and that's unlikely to happen the more he reveals his hand as a cliché city slicker. "fair point." he states, tilting his head to the side as he eyes the horse carefully. "just have this slight nervousness around them. got bucked off one as a kid, but uh, i'm sure your horses are nice, considering the you of it all... so," he approaches slowly, eyeing finn with a look that's meant to be friendly. "might just have to talk me through it."

there's something almost defiant about the way this kid — miles, he mentally reminds himself — refuses to fully cower surprises gabriel. he's expecting to see tears any second, but instead he's watching some attempt to hold themselves together in spite of his cruelty. and really, crying over something gabe said isn't something he'd look down on, but it still piques his interest, even if minorly. derek's interruption is what shifts the interaction, prompting his ire to be angled elsewhere entirely. this is his plaything, not some voyeuristic game for his frenemies to enjoy. derek, in his clearly drunken state just throws his head back in laughter and gabriel turns to inspect miles in front of him. for all that bravery he'd been wearing a moment earlier, he seems dejected now in a way that surprises him. he supposes, perhaps, that to deny it would be a lie. in any other instance, gabe would smile, but he doesn't in this case. the attempt to cut the interaction short and shrink away prompts a frown from him. "wait." he instructs, expecting that the blonde won't run away before his gaze shifts. "derek." he says the guy's name sharply and his movements are quick, he crosses the short space between them, grabbing him by the back of the neck to walk him over like a petulant child. "apologise to miles." derek at first doesn't seem to realise what's going on, complaining and shifting under his hand. when he begins to protest, gabe holds onto him harder, tugging him down to make him almost bow his head in shame. "apologise. now." the words are hissed cruelly. his friend, even in his drunk state has the good sense to listen, choking out a half-hearted apology. sorry, freshie. he considers asking miles if he finds the apology acceptable, but the last thing he wants to do is let the drunk idiot remain in their vicinity. he shoves him away, shooing him with a flick of his hand without even looking at him. no, now his gaze is trained purely on miles. he breathes in and out slowly, just threw his nose, his heart beating a little harder than before. "you were saying something nice to me. go on."

it's a relatively busy night, plenty of customers piling in with anticipation for karaoke at eight o'clock which he'd been morally opposed to, personally. his staff had practically begged, though and they'd insisted it would liven up their wednesday nights, so he'd given in, even if just to hope they'd be proven wrong. it seemed the pendulum was swinging the other way, though. that was why he didn't initially notice the vaguely familiar voice calling out his name as he made his way to the stairs, intending to head up to the office for a few hours to avoid the singing. he hesitates, turning on his heel with a glass of whiskey in hand and inspects the two people in front of him as haper chastises piper quietly. "who the hell let you two in there?" he asks, but there's a smile ghosting on his lips and he feels a tightness in his shoulders that fades as he looks between them. they look so... excited in a way that reminds him of their youth and the fact that the fact that he's slept with the both of them probably says something terrible about him. his brows furrow and his gaze drops over both of them before he places his glass down, stepping closer with arms folded over his chest. "what can i do for you guys?" he knows he shouldn't be so friendly, but he can't help himself. he's a sucker for the smiles they both sport, not to mention both pairs of eyes that happen to be on him, eyes he's thought about often since that night. he figures if he plays coy, maybe that's safer.
