the problem with dancing shoes..|| (open starter)
“Okay..Okay, want to see something even more cool than my lame dance moves?” he asked the laughing small crowd of people who had been heartily and merrily chuckling hard, as good-humored and cheerful Eddie entertained them with the a variety of the silliest and most awkward dance moves he knew. There was nothing Eddie loved more than to help putting smiles or laughter on people’s faces and he loved to entertain as well as to help livened things up whenever possible even if it was at his own embarrassing expense. “Alright, watch closely,”he told his small audience of people as he took of his shoes and uttered a short incantation to magically charm them. Within a matter of a couple of seconds after he had finished reciting out his spell, his shoes then came to “life” and starting dancing wonderfully by their own! Eddie laughed delightedly as his spell worked and the small crowd of people around him had started laughing and some were even clapping. It was a truly comical and slightly delightful sight to see them in action.
However, his spell worked a little too wonderfully well, as after about five to ten minutes, when Eddie decided that he had charmed and entertained the people enough with his dancing shoes, and had picked them up and was about to put them back on his own feet, when his pair of shoes leapt out of his hands and proceeded to start running away from him! “Oi! You guys!!” he called out hurriedly as he sped after them amidst the charming shouts and peals of laughter from his audience. Eddie hid a small secret grin as he chased after his shoes, for unbeknownst to them, he had actually planned this whole shoes “running away thing” to end his little entertaining side show. Thus, he was utterly pleased that his plan had worked and he had managed to successfully make that small crowd of people almost howl with laughter at the highly comical and slightly crazy sight of Eddie chasing after his runaway shoes in a regal, decorated and elegantly vast ballroom in the middle of a ball. It was what most people needed right now in Eddie’s carefree and fun opinion: delighted laughter.
As he rushed about trying to keep sight of his runaway shoes, he then accidentally stepped on someone’s foot with his rubber-soled socks as his left foot landed on them unseeingly before he realized what had happened. “Omygosh, I’m so so sorry!” he exclaimed apologetically as he then halted in his tracks and raised up his head to glance at the other.
