How does the high-frequency tone generator work? Does it overload the reaper sensorally or is it just a Pavlov's dog like response created by the electric shock?
Yeppers, the High-Frequency Tone Generators are just tones. They’re Pavlovian, like you guessed.
In Ep 2x05, “Human Trials”, Cage electrocutes Lincoln while blaring the tone. At one point, he says to his team, "Shock treatmentsevery two hours. As soon as hefears the tone, we move on to PhaseTwo."
We based Cage’s dastardly techniques on real Fear Conditioning. Creepy!
