About the flame thing and Madi seeing Clarke. Tbh I think everyone kinda assumes that once someone takes the flame they have like this direct link to the previous hedas when it‘s not really like that?? I mean Lxa had the flame the whole time and she didn‘t have dead people in her head all the time. The only time we saw prev hedas waswhen L dreamed they talked to her. Clarke only saw L in the COL which was already full of dead people. I doubt Madi would see hedas, it would be more unconscious
Yup. ITA. The communication L had with the hedas was subconscious. In dreams. And if the bearer or the flame was conscious of what the flame was, an AI with computer programs for consciousnesses of past bearers, then she might be able to train her mind to receive signals through meditation, but it wasn’t like ALIE who could possess a body or control their actions and will. The flame was far more interactive giving the humans more control That was the point of using the nightblood as an interface, right? So that the AI wouldn’t be so dominant and would need to relate better to the human? To UNDERSTAND.
Hey! Love your blog, it's amazing!! Now, said that, I wanted to ask you something it can't be that lexa dies and murphy is the new head right? Right?? and it can't also be that lexa dies and clarke is the new commander, right?? I mean, if the grounder's commander is chosen by reincarnation I thought the wider must be dead then her/his spirit reincarnates, not into someone that's already grown up but a child. I don't know if you will understand this... sorry
THANK YOU!!!! <3
Everyone’s hedacanons (<– haha...I’m a nerd) that a Sky Person (Clarke, Octavia, Murphy, etc.) will become heda after she dies I just don’t buy. We don’t know the process of how the commander spirit is discovered in someone, but most likely it is found in someone that is younger and is someone that has been born into Trikru. And I thought that Jason or some writer said that Indra or some other character was ‘too old’ to be chosen to be Heda. However, I can’t find the source for that info so I can’t be sure…it may have been from a Periscope or something (if anyone knows where this was from could you let me know).
Octavia was considered ‘Trikru’ by Indra in 2x15 for a quick second…but she would never be considered ‘real Trikru’ to a lot of grounders. I wrote more about Lexa’s possible ascension HERE.
