all of her friends had told her it was a bad idea. she had merely thought it would be harmless. sometimes her days passed far too slowly for her liking. that was why she had ventured into the chat room in the first place. never in a million years had she imagined she would connect with someone. let alone someone that was serving time but it had spiraled out of control. months had passed with them non stop emailing and her sending photos. yet what she hadn't realized was that he was going to be released. she had no idea how she felt about actually seeing him in person. especially considering some of the things that she had done. things that would make anyone blush and esme knew her friends wouldn't believe it. she had stopped responding to the messages because of that fear in the back of her head.

it was like any other day for her. she had stopped at starbucks to pick up her boss' usual order. after that she was going to open the gallery up. she had made sure to check for messages and was responding to emails. only to hear the door open and she was in the middle of taking a swig from her coffee. only for her entire body to tense the moment that she saw who had stepped inside," wh-what are you doing here?" faintly she realized she had mentioned where she worked in one of their many conversations. yet she couldn't deny the butterflies that had suddenly made her stomach home at the very sight of him.

she had practically pleaded with her father to pick her up from work that night. it wasn't ideal for her to even have to ask for a ride. yet her step mother had just needed the truck that billie usually drove. her father apparently had something else to do but he told her not to worry. already she knew what that meant and it was something that she wanted to avoid. her step brother was going to be picking her up. ever since her father had married her life had been turned upside down and not in a good way. of course she had tried to get along with him but she realized quickly how foolish that was. especially with the way that he behaved and some of the things that had occurred. things that she hadn't told anyone else. she had been waiting outside of the bar and one of the servers offered to wait considering how late it was. he was offering to light her smoke when she realized she saw headlights approaching. instantly she froze, the cigarette poised in her hand. only to groan as the car practically slammed to a stop and she instantly shoving her co worker away," thanks! you can go!" he seemed confused but he was listening as she heard the car door opening and then rushed footsteps. billie instantly turned to see the pissed expression on his face," before you even start," she said quickly," he was just being nice since it's late and it's dark out."

charlotte had known that their time together came with an expiration date. one that was rapidly approaching. so far whenever she had tried to broach the subject cal had refused to talk about it. that was why she was unsure what was going to happen next. she had no clue why he was behaving the way that he was. after all she thought that everything was okay but it seemed like he was constantly angry. that day since she knew he was going to be busy she had asked if it was alright if she went out. she wanted to go look at some properties for her new business but she hadn't told him exactly that. instead she had mentioned shopping since she didn't want to make him angry when he was in a relatively okay mood that morning. he had told her it was fine and mentioned a driver. only she had told the driver when she was leaving that he wasn't needed. she ended up meeting with a realtor who was more than happy to show her some places. by the time afternoon rolled around she was thinking she had found the right spot. yet when she returned home, she spotted callisto's car parked in front of the door and not in the garage. instantly she froze but she forced herself to pull into the garage in order to go inside. only to freeze when she spotted him standing there, seemingly waiting," um, is everything okay? did something happen?"

he had no idea why he couldn't seem to help himself. after all he knew that she was exhausted. she had practically told him so over and over again earlier that very day. he had done his best to leave it but then he found himself in the bedroom. at first he had been thinking he would just watch a movie but he kept glancing over at her. the blanket was down to her waist and her tank top had shifted. his hand reached to begin to pull it back but then his fingers brushed against her nipple. he froze but found himself reaching to gently pinch it between his fingers. a near groan fell from him as he began to cup her breast while he dipped his head down to capture one into his mouth, not caring at that point if she woke or not.

posey normally avoided going home at all costs. she knew exactly what would happen when she did. they would be asking her why she hadn't settled down and given up on her foolish dream of working for a living. it didn't matter to her mother that she had achieved her dream job working in a museum. the only bright side to attending the celebration of her step father's promotion was seeing her. of course it was wrong but that hadn't stopped them. the only wrench in the plan had been that her mother had set her up. the dinner had been tense and posey was relieved when it was done. she had walked her "date" out and was taken by surprise when he pulled her in for a chaste kiss. she was so shocked she returned it but quickly pulled back," um, have a good night." her eyes were wide as she stepped back into the foyer and let the door swing shut," holy shit." her body slumped back against it," i didn't think he would do that."
