Okay I kept a little secret for a whole 2 weeks. Eelios GOT MARRIED. MORAY’D? MURAE’D? Love is real and these eels are in it. Meet Heelios!!
I was worried at first this could end in tears (and shreds unless I intervened quickly) but their meeting went extremely smoothly. It was love at first blurry sight.
They immediately accepted each other and happily share caves, take turns eating off the feeding stick, etc. There has never been any posturing or show of dominance. Really could not have gone better, and it helps that Eelios is obviously a young female, while Heelios is a mature male.
