I just got hit over the head with a rabbit hyperfixation so here's a list of reasons why Tweak and her dad are definitely marsh rabbits. Is this just an excuse to ramble about rabbits? Yes it is
Come on Ranger Marsh's name is litteraly Marsh. And marsh rabbits are native to the wetlands of Florida where Tweak and Marsh live.
If thats not enough proof marsh rabbits have adapted to be strong swimmers and we see Tweak do a lot of that.
Marsh rabbits also lack any distinct fur patterning or the signature white puff tail that most other cottontails have, just like Tweak and her father.
Ok this one isn't a strong case but due to their legs being adapted for swimming marsh rabbits walk rather than hop and Tweak definitely doesn't hop.
The only thing that doesn't add up is their long ears. Marsh rabbits have shorter rounded ears unlike Tweak and Ranger Marsh
Anyway if you read through all that take some marsh rabbit kits for your time
