So, yesterday was deep. I can say that, because an artist died by the name Barkley L. Hendricks and The artist school and museum did a profound memorial, and I was there. The museum was full of all The Who to know in the art world specifically the artist rose of color. All the artist came out to be a part of the artist memorial of his departure. I remember when Hendricks came to Pafa to exhibit his work for in the The Pennsylvania School of Fine Art Museum and he taught a workshop that as a student, I could attend for free. I was nervous and was running late on my way to the class. I man I was always late for classes but I was nervous about taking such a class with The Maestro Hendricks . I mean his art was the first piece of work that stunned me, and spoke to me and I was in awl of the artist. Barkley L. Hendricks gave me a moment to set up my canvas at the easel and quickly I got my paints out. I dove right in. I thought I gotta show Maestro Barkley Hendricks , what I had so he can let me know what's what in my work. I painted from the model, as he looked on over my shoulder. He said to me as I was painting rapidly brush to oil and then to paint, and brush strokes the canvas, again and again, " First you have to crawl before you can walk." Hendricks, pointed to the eyes on the figure of the live model I painted and said to me something along these lines "No two eyes are the same, in perspective one eye will always be different. If the eyes are known to be blue the truth is in our vision the one eye can me seen blue and the other may not be that same blue at all, depending on the angle or lighting the eye may not be seen at all." Then when I finished the class we talked, he told me that he felt good about the way the school received him, he mentioned that he left Pafa early for exhibits at galleries that sought him out while was still in school. The Maestro then asked me if he could take some pictures of me because he might paint them.
