Heintzman Place by Lori Whelan Via Flickr: Sunset adds a golden hue to Heintzman Place condos (completed in 2011) in the Junction neighbourhood.The residential tower was built on a site once occupied by Heintzman & Co., celebrated producer of Canadian pianos. Incorporated in 1886, all production was moved to the new factory at this location in 1888 as demand for the Heintzman quality brand grew sharply. In its time, Heintzman was referred to as the Steinway of Canadian pianos because they were considered to be the best pianos ever made in Canada.
