“Be sure tae go round the long way!” Duncan shouted over his shoulder at Joe, who was being pursued by three of Duncan’s amazonian sisters across the castle lawn. “They need the exercise!”

He turned back to Lottie with a shit-eating grin on his face. “That never gets old.”

Lottie smoothed down the edge of her skirt with one hand as the other rested on her knee. "Ye wanted ta see me?" She asked, looking Jacob in the face.

Jacob sat at ease behind his desk, watching Lottie. “I thought it would be good for you to come in and talk. I’ve heard a bit about you from different sources.” He gave the woman across from him a charming smile. “Why don’t you tell me about yourself?”

Spoils of War - Aaron/Mackenzie

Aaron thrashed against the metal chains that bound him as the convoy of soldiers dragged and pushed him into the courtyard of a castle. His eyes spun around at the men and woman in blue paint as he growled and chewed at the gag in his mouth, after a moment they stopped and a soldier tried to push Aaron to his knees and got an elbow in the face for his efforts.

Jon sighed and shrugged his coat off by the door of their bedroom before walking towards the bathroom. He stripped as he walked, leaving a trail of clothes from the door to door. He pushed the door open and smiled, seeing that the tub was already occupied. He leaned against the door. 

“Mind if I join you?”

“Fate fucked her good’n hard. I mean hell's cock rimmed bells, she gets this bullshit responsibility of laird or whatever the fuck put on her from day fucking one, then her mom bites the dust, then her dad fucking burns down in front of her, so she's gotta raise this little weak boned kid while doing the whole noble schtick, doing whatever the fuck she can to get over her parents dying way too goddamn young, and dealing with the can of rusty acid filled worms that is the White goddamn Council. How she hasn't snapped and turned to snorting coke and powdered bull hormones is a miracle.
