To say she was surprised was an understatement. They had been so careful! She was on the potion and he still cast the conception charm each time. She was having trouble even remembering a time that they hadn’t!

Still...She’d taken six different muggle pregnancy tests and they all came back positive. She had to tell Tom and she had to tell him now. Saying good bye to her parents with the excuse of needing to study for her NEWTs, she apparated back to Hogsmeade and immediately started making her way up to Hogwarts on December 31.  Announcing her pregnancy to Tom was not what she had gotten him for his birthday, no she had a rather nice pocket watch for him, a wizard tradition to a seventeen year old, but they were here now and they’d need to figure this out together.

Hermione laid back in the head's tub with a sigh. It was very much like the prefect bath but on a smaller but no less opulant scale.

Looking down at her body, she smiled softly at the roundness that protruded from beneath the water. She was about 16 weeks now and was getting to the point she'd have to spell the swell away when out in the school. Still she liked looking at the proof of her and Tom. It always gave her chills to think they'd be parents in the coming year, even if they were already secretly married.

Hermione just could not get over what they were doing. They were actually going ring shopping! And not just that, in muggle London! Tom always seemed to find ways to surprise her.

This morning, after waking in his arms, they’d had a private breakfast in bed and then began to get ready. She’d decided on a pair of snug jeans with a blue v-neck jumper and emerald green camisole beneath. She had also configured her navy cloak into a pea coat for the turn around muggles. As she pulled on a pair of comfortable boots, she looked up to see him entering their common room.
