What do you do when a heist, turns into more than just a heist? The world is divided into individual planes of reality known as districts. Accessible only by warping the reality of space to create doors, they're heavily controlled by a ruling body known only to each district as The Council. Most people can create a door to a neighboring district, but former jewel thief Cin can create multiple doors to multiple districts, jumping from one plane of reality to another. After their last heist resulted in life-changing injuries and a prison sentence, Cin is released on parole. They promise their best friend and totally platonic make-out partner, Lawrence, they'll give up thievery... after they remove the tag which monitors their warping. But when the a powerful ring goes up for auction, Cin convinces the gang to get back together for one last heist. They claims it's for the aesthetic, and hope that Lawrence doesn't suspect it's because Cin is losing their warping abilities and wants it for more nefarious purposes. But the ring is more than advertised. Now, Cin and the gang must stop the fabric of reality from unravelling, while The Council hunts them down for the powers of the ring.
