Helanwen in her military days as a cavalry officer for the Aldmeri Dominion. Although she would never quite shake off her cold personality, she was smart and a hard worker and would often find success in anything she put her mind to.
She fought in the war against the Empire but missed the latter phases after being wounded in battle.
I've spent well over a week on this picture because there's a lot of details to cover and I found the horse very tricky, hence covering a lot of the legs up.
I've made a reference for Helanwen, aka Avrin's older ice queen of a sister. Originally she was just going to be a minor OC but I've been developing her more recently.

Biography: Helanwen is the older sibling of Avrin and together they grew up on the Endaron estate in the Summerset Isles. Though her life was one of wealth and comfort, she always felt stifled by the expectations of nobility and often took her frustrations out on her brother and anyone else who gave her cause for annoyance.
Her difficult personality earned her few friends and she only ever had a small inner circle she could confide in. Indeed she would often spend more time with her horses than other people.
However, whenever she put her mind to something, she would often succeed and after years of training horses, began a career as a cavalry officer in the Aldmeri Dominion's army when she was in her 40's.
By the time she was in her late 50's she had risen to the rank of Knight-Commander and took part in the war against the Empire. She fought in several battles but was wounded and returned home before it ended.
Following this, she returned to civilian life and began to help her ageing parents manage the family's estate. This has kept her mind off troubling memories and questions regarding the war.
Post-war Helanwen, upon healing up and finally returning to her family's estate in the Summerset Isles. Nothing but empty halls and her own troubled thoughts.
