nah man isamu has a special place in my heart so youre not alone. unfortunately smt (and nocturne in particular) isnt the pinnacle of character exploration or exhibition, or hed probably be easier for people to appreciate given how relatable he is
;~; holds you
and yeah, I understand that! But I do kind of like that about Nocturne. It isn't much about dialogue or explanations but you still get everything. The characters still convey the type of person they were and are by the end of it without much dialogue. The game gets the important facts straight. I don't know if I'd like it was everything about them laid out to me, like in Tales games or Persona. (not that I don't enjoy those games!) It has something fascinating and...real to me. And despite the little dialogue compared to the usual rpg, I still get Isamu so much. Yuko as well. I love it a lot. ;; Yeah, Isamu is probably the most relatable and realistic character out of the bunch, despite the douchebag that he is to our protagonist. (He has his reasons, however unreasonable they are to others.) Then, if you take into account the apocalypse happened, you're drained off your life energy by demons (and torture is neccessairy for that)...It's no wonder an immature, secretly depressed 16/17-years old like him becomes even more unreasonable and rebuffing.
Although it's safe to say the dude unadmittedly yearns for a little bit(?) of love and attention.
ahh don't mind me it got out of hand /~\ ;;;;
