- Ravion and Indris are two sides of the same coin. They have different personalities, but both don't understand what it means to have sincere feelings, and they learn this through interactions with each other.
For example:
1) Ravion lacks attention and love. To get this, he copies the behavior of those with whom he has ever dealt (copies the behavior of some aristocrats or those who looked after him). He knew that they were doing this on purpose, that the nobles around him were always pretending and sucking up, so Ravion pretended the same way as the other nobles so that no one would think that he was a "white crow" among others. Among these gestures of pretense, Indris' slap in the face was the most honest and sincere gesture towards Ravion. And from that moment on, his whole world turned upside down, and he begins to treat Saltorin residents from the bottom of the community more leniently and even friendlier. In other words, he changed his mind about them.
2) As Indris gets closer to Ravion, he begins to understand him more. In fact, Ravion becomes an exception in an aristocratic society, since his attitude towards the lower class is very different from that of other higher ones. Indris sees this and realizes that Ravion can be trusted.
3) Okay, let me put it bluntly, they get along great, and to some extent they worry about each other. Their interactions may look very funny in some places, but this does not negate, but rather emphasizes the fact that they have a very strong friendly marriage relationship.
4) Indris' drunken antics. It's a time bomb. On the outside, Indris looks restrained and callous, but deep down, he worries about everything and everyone, including Ravion. And I think that when Indris hugged Ravion for the first time after the wine and told him all his worries and probably told him a lot of compliments and words of support, Ravion was upset about it. I think, for all his resilience, at one point Ravion could burst into tears from the fact that he generally thinks well of him and, moreover, that Indris is worried about him too. God, seriously, the fact that Ravion received twice as much support from an ordinary Sal'thorin's fighter as from his mother or those who were introduced to him as caregivers speaks volumes.
5) Just to summarize: Ravion supports Indris and gives him confidence in himself; Indris almost directly says that Ravion deserves love and he is ALREADY loved. Do I need to add something else??
- Someday Indris will bring Ravion to the surface and Ravion, God forbid, will not go crazy with beauty.
