Birthday Surprise!

@ssskeletonsoffun​ Happy day of Birth Friend! Enjoy! 

Blue panted as he ran down the street, bumping into and apologizing to a few monsters as he did so. Today was Helen’s birthday, and he HAD to make sure everything was perfect for his Datemate! Turning left at Muffet’s bakery and barging into Daisy’s Flower shop he blurted “Are they ready?!?” temporarily forgetting his manners. Daisy laughed and Blue flushed, embarrassed. “Sorry Daisy, I am trying to make this Her Best birthday yet!” Blue explained. 

Daisy smiled and told him, “I know Blue. You’ve been all worked up about this for a week! But Yes, the flowers you requested are ready. Just need to load them up and we are done!” Blue breathed a sigh of relief and apologized again, which Daisy brushed off gently. 

“Goodbye Daisy, Thanks Again for doing this!” Blue said, walking out of the flower shop. “Goodbye Blue, and good luck!” Daisy responded before getting back to work. Blue gave a quick wave before taking off again. Flowers, Check. Onto the reservations. Then the star gazing. It had to be perfect, it was his Datemate after all! After a short jog up the street, Blue stopped before Helen’s Favorite restaurant. Swiftly heading inside he checked that all the reservations were in place for tonight and luckily, they were! After saying a quick goodbye, Blue got ready for a long jog to the observatory. It was on the other side of town, but it would be worth it. Blue had watched the weather and kept an eye on the stars to make sure everything went as planned. 

He arrived at the Observatory after a 20 minute jog. Greeting the guard at the door, Blue stepped inside and found the planner. “Hello David! Is everything still set up?” Blue asked quietly, to not interrupt the presentation that was going on just then. David, just as quietly, told him yes and that the stars should be extra bright tonight. Blue thanked him and headed off, getting ready to find his datemate and surprise her with all of this. 

Helen’s POV

Helen had just gotten home from doing a lot of birthday shopping. She was tired and happy, just wanting to find Blue and nap despite it only being 3pm. Instead, she was greeted by a beautiful arrangement of her favorite flowers, and Blue. Helen laughed and gently kissed Blue, thanking him for the surprise. He grinned and told her that there was more planned, but that it wouldn’t happen till later. Helen chuckled and asked for help putting away everything she had gotten that day, which Blue gladly did. Afterwards, Blue gave Helen a gentle massage, knowing how tired she was. 

At 5pm, the two got dressed up and headed off. Blue blindfolded Helen and drove to her favorite restaurant, where he had made a reservation to eat. “Woah! Blue, I can’t believe you set all this up for me!” Helen joyfully said. Blue smiled at his datemate, loving her more than she probably knew. 

“You are important to me, Love. Of course I set all this up, It had to be special! it is your birthday after all!” Blue responded, happy with how everything was going. Chatting for a while longer, Helen and Blue enjoyed themselves before Blue gently lead Helen back outside to the car. 

“We headed somewhere else now?” Helen inquired. Blue nodded and pressed a finger to his lips,

“It’s a secret, but you’ll love it!” He was fairly excited and that made Helen excited too. A short drive later, they arrived at the observatory. Helen gasped and squealed looking at Blue incredibly happy. Blue simply smiled and nodded, leading her into the room he had reserved just for them. The two of them spent hours there, kissing, cuddling, and pointing out constellations to one another. Overall, the day had been a success! It was a fantastic birthday, for a fantastic person.

And there we go! I planned to draw something for you, but it didn't work out too well, so I wrote this! I hope you enjoyed it!
