Jaito isn’t a vampire, he’s a Lumin. His species is similar to humans, but they have silver eyes, silver blood, sharp teeth, and can shapeshift into their amina, or “soul form”, which is an animal. For Jaito, his form is a fox. Some Lumin’s have powers, and Jaito’s is his ability to understand and speak any language. They have a longer life span than humans. They were hunted down and their country, Isaÿn was destroyed by the Saqr Empire who hates them for their dark skin and that they aren’t human. A common slur against them is “sliver”. Jaito saw his family be killed by the Saqr Empire, who portrays themselves as saviors. He managed to escape along with some others, but he was captured by Saqr forces when he was 7. He spent 2 years in a concentration camp before being sold to a family in the country Virides as a slave. After 3 years there (in which he fell in love with the family’s boy sCaNdElOuS) he was forced to join the Saqr Army - the people who killed his people. He is now a General, and is sent off on missions. Little do they know he’s playing for his own team, and that’s when he meets The Prizrak, and eventually meets Sierra and you. They join forces and romance ~blooms~. Also he is an expert marksman with throwing knives, but prefers saving lives to taking them. He wants to become a doctor, but under Saqr rule is he is not allowed to touch humans. He is fascinated by medical things and science, and is a true gentleman. He is also extremely sarcastic. He’s awesome.
