Fall season anime recs? :D
Mahoutsukai no Yome is one of the anime I’ve been looking forward to for years. I started reading the manga back when it was barely in the teens as far as chapters go. The studio is Wit so you know it has quality, and so far the animation has been stellar. I was a bit nervous about the pacing (one chap per episode for three episodes?) but it’s been picking up. Super excited to see so many chapters of this show animated.
Net-juu no Susume has probably become my Anime of the Season. It’s a good fun show with some nice gender reversal. It’s also not in fucking high school and the protagonist is a woman. Overall it’s a fantastic show.
And… there you have it. Honestly this season is super dry for me and these are the only two shows I’m watching. However I will have a quick honorable mentions.
Blend S is a pretty funny albeit somewhat predicable comedy. Honestly it suffers from the issues that shows like Kiniro Mosaic and Gabriel Dropout where the show simply makes the same jokes over the entire show rather than having truly funny interactions of character personalities bouncing off each other.
Fate/Apoc is still around and the first season was great I just simply fell off it. I should really dive back in but here I am just playing games instead.
I really enjoyed (like fucking adored) the first half or maybe even the first 18ish episodes of March Comes in Like a Lion but the entire Lion King tournament was one of the worst arcs I’ve seen in an anime since I dropped HxH. The show managed to pull together an “ending” that didn’t make me want to burn studio SHAFT and the mangaka’s house down which is at least somewhat noteworthy but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to try and watch season 2. It could be vastly better.
