𝙻𝙰𝚃𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝙱𝙸𝙳 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝚂𝙾𝙱𝚁𝙸𝙴𝚃𝚈 𝙷𝙰𝚂 𝚂𝙴𝙴𝙽 𝚆𝙸𝚃𝙷𝙳𝚁𝙰𝚆𝙰𝙻 𝚂𝙸𝙽𝙺 𝙸𝚃𝚂 𝙼𝙴𝚁𝙲𝙸𝙻𝙴𝚂𝚂 𝙲𝙻𝙰𝚆𝚂 𝙸𝙽;    body    has    been    wracked    with    shakes    and    shivers    for    a    few    days    now    and    everything    seems    to    hurt.    VICES    have    made    it    clear    that    taking    care    of    himself    is    not    an    area    in    which    he    thrives,    were    he    left    to    his    own    devices    he    would    try    ride    out    the    storm    in    the    confines    of    a    dark    room    (    or    perhaps,    simply    stop    trying    to    stop    at    all    )    but    SAVING    GRACE    is    bestowed    upon    him    in    the    form    of    ever    vigilant    and    benevolent    familiar.    As    loyal    as    the    dog    whose    form    he    takes    -    he    can    scarcely    fathom    what    he    could    have    ever    done    to    deserve    the    lack    of    judgement    that    comes    with    Mikel’s    dedication    -    he’s    a    MESS    and    they    both    know    it    -    but    he’s    grateful.    Eternally    grateful.    A    groan,    as    he    pushes    himself    up    from    the    sofa    he’s    been    curled    up    on    -    has    it    been    for    hours,    or    days    now    ?    Curls    are    dishevelled    and    shoulders    are    slack    with    fatigue,    yet    he    manages    a    weak    smile;    feeble    but    genuine    against    the    pallor    of    skin    and    dark    circles    under    eyes.    “    Either    you    have    a    HEART    OF    GOLD...    or    I    look    so    pathetic    right    now    you    had    to    take    pity    on    me.    Maybe    both    ?    ”    A    joke    in    spite    of    himself,    as    trembling    hands    take    warm    bowl    with    silent    gratitude,    earnest    gaze    seeking    to    hold    his    familiar’s.    “    I    don’t    know    if    I    can    stomach    much    -    but    I’ll    try.    Will    you    sit    with    me    ?    ”
