I think comics should bring back the fact that Dani Moonstar kinda just hates the Hellions, even the ones who have really never done anything to her

I think comics should bring back the fact that Dani Moonstar kinda just hates the Hellions, even the ones who have really never done anything to her
As much as I like Generation X Emma, her motivation with trying to do better with the Gen X kids because she failed the Hellions and they died is a little weak. Because like, the Hellions dying was largely not her fault. It was kind of a fluke. You could argue that it was because she was advocating for in-roads with the New Mutants and X-Men that they were there, but that's a good thing, and it's what she ends up doing when she creates Gen X anyway.
I mean, she did fail the Hellions, but not because they died. Her failing the Hellions is like 5% anger issues, 5% manipulating children into committing crimes, and 90% suffering Empath to live
The sad thing is, if pressed, most of the new mutants would probably like Tarot more than Magma. If she was anywhere other than Massachusetts Academy she might have had a completely different life
The New Mutants can wear the X-Men yellows better than anyone imo, but I feel like once anyone graduates they should have their own color scheme so here's my ideal color scheme for all of the New Mutants (and Hellions also, get them out of the star trek uniforms)
Dani: Black and green for Valkyrie stuff, red and yellow for other stuff. Bring back her fun Spider-Man mask. Stop putting her in buckskin unless it's an identifiable item of leather clothing she's wearing; it doesn't act the same as spandex
Cannonball: Lavender with brown accents
Wolfsbane: I don't actually mind Rahne in the yellow and blue since she's in wolf form so much anyway. Otherwise green.
Karma: Primarily blue with pink accents. Stop putting her in green, that's not her color
Sunspot: Orange and black
Magik: Silver and black
Rictor: Green, obvi
Magma: Does not matter, she should be on fire most of the time anyway. Give her chunky jewelry even in her magma form tho
Boom-Boom: Pink and yellow
Cypher: Yellow and white, with warlock-y details
Warpath: Primary black, with secondary red and blue
Tarot: Black, with purple details
Jetstream: Purple, with brown details
Catseye: Lavender
Roulette: Black and red (natch)
Empath: He can actually keep the star trek porn parody uniform
Marvel let me write a Tarot, Roulette, and Catseye mini, I promise it will sell one hellion copies
Like the New Mutants, I think most of the Hellions are gay, but Jetstream and Tarot were definitely the “gay ones”
Ask game: Jetstream please
Tarot, Magma, and Empath seem to form almost a trio of characters. Empath is the consummate perpetrator—cruel, unrepentant, sexually predatory. Tarot is the opposite—shrinking, kind, and bullied. Magma exists in an odd place in between them. In her classic appearances, she’s not a likeable person. She’s haughty and quick to anger, but in her relationship with Empath she serves as almost a romance protagonist—the one woman who this dangerous man will never harm, in almost an “I can fix him” way. And we don’t get as much of a direct relationship between Magma and Tarot, Empath uses his powers on Tarot to make her love Magma. It feels like the way a bully might mock a lesbian classmate when a popular girl transfers into school.
