He brings her down, spinning her to face him. "Hey babe."
"Someone's feeling better."
[ she smiles, nuzzling his nose. ]
-sneaks up behind her, wrapping we in a backwards hug and lifting her to spin her around-
[ she hears the footsteps but she's not really paying attention. the fox squeaks in surprise before letting out a laugh. ]
He pulls bak, pressing his forehead to hers, eyes closed. He takes a deep breath before looking at her. "I love you."
[ her own eyes flutter shut when his forehead presses to hers, and she nuzzles her nose against his. at the words, fluffy fox ears perk forward and she opens her eyes to blink at him. it's not something she's expecting to hear. not from dean. yes, she's held feelings for him for quite awhile now, but she knew how he could get when it came to letting people in like this. always so afraid it automatically means he'll lose them. she smiles, shifting closer to him. ]
"I love you too, Dean. Have for awhile."
He pulls her close, kiss deepening as he tilts his head. He knows this won't make it go away, but Kelsey is always good at comforting him. Be it physical comfort, or emotional. He often finds himself going to her. She never questions him, but her arms are always open. It's why he loves her.
[ she knows how much he's been through, and it's why she chooses not to question him when he comes to her. dean's always trying to be the rock for everyone around him, and kelsey doesn't mind being his when he needs someone to lean on. the hand on the back of his neck curls into his hair as she settles comfortably against him. ]
"It's ok. I've got you here, so it's not so bad." He leans in and kisses her softly, humming a bit. {YOURE WELCOME}
[ she smiles against his lips, returning the kiss ------ more than happy to distract him from the guilt she knows he probably feels. ]
He sighs when she kisses him, before smiling sadly. "Lost someone tonight." It isn't the first time a bad guy has taken a life, but it never gets easier for him to handle. It should never happen on his watch. That's how he feels about it.
[ she frowns again, wordlessly pulling him down onto the couch beside her. one of her tails wraps around his waist as she pushes fingers through his hair again. ]
"I'm sorry, Dean."

"Bad night. Wanted to see you." He finally raises his head, green eyes fond. "How've you been babe?"
[ her hand slips to the back of his neck when he lifts his head. frowning at his words, she leans up to kiss his forehead. ]
"I've been all right. What about you, somethin' happen tonight?"
