this song came on and i was instantly taken back to a thread i had with the beautiful @helllore, featuring a very cathartic turning point in which lana and sam had their first real fight about all the unspoken feelings they’d buried and had been collected over a decade +, since before him leaving to stanford to present time. they both felt sorry and neglected feelings, as well as left each other’s sceneries hundreds of times, so this to me feels like the core of the dynamic i love so much. the intensity of loving someone so much that they feel like home, and still not understanding how it took so long to realize that a part of it had been sitting there, completely shattered. forever grateful to kate for gifting me her permanent enthusiasm, as well as her time and unbelievable talent. that’s a ride or die right there.
