Dont Support Hello Ramona
Over the weekend, my buddy Keaton Stoneburner threw a house show/benefit show for our friend Mark Voyna, who's daughter has been in and out of the hospital numerous times in the past months, and more than I have in a lifetime and she isn't even a year old, just to get a picture. Keaton had asked Hello Ramona to play, they said sure. A week goes by without any contact to Keaton or anything, no asking of set times, what time to be there, normal things you should ask a promoter. Then the show rolls around, Keaton gets a text at 8PM saying, "Hey, we have a flat we'll be there asap." The show was already an hour behind normal set schedule, so Keaton had to tell them that they unfortunately couldn't play. Though, this is the thing. They had told their manager that they were already there, and were the for the duration of the show. My friend, Aaron Maranville was talking to one of the members and the manager of the band. Apparently, they told their manager that they had been their all day and for the entire duration of the show leading up to their set. Then, one of the members of Hello Ramona was calling, they told Aaron that they were coming anyway to be compensated for the gas money Keaton owed them (not true, nothing was ever even signed, agreed upon for gas, etc.) and that if Keaton didn't pay them or whatever, that they were going to fight him and start a riot at his house. They said that they wanted $400 for the show, which was literally impossible to do, then as the problem went on they went down to $200, then down to $100. A night when by, then they posted that status about how they were sick of beings shit talked, and talking shit on Keaton and such. Everyone defend Keaton and called them out on their bullshit. They then proceeded to say, "We should've headlined anyways, fuck you all." Today, they deleted their Facebook page and are currently broken up because of something as they put, "Was not their fault" even though they were all admins to the page, so it had to be one of them who posted. Either way, they all took the fault and it fucked them over for good. Also, their singer Micah Martin said that he had nothing to do with the post and that he was done with the band and anyone involved with that band since they ruined what he worked 4 years to accomplish. They are also fucking thieves. Old bassist Zach Fulton was a lifesaver to that band only to be fucked over in the end. He helped their old guitarist David O' Brien get his gear which he couldn't afford (If you're wanting to be in a fucking band, be able to afford your own gear, dumbass.) and got him a Guitar Center card to do so, which they over abused and once they had exactly what they wanted, they kicked Zach to the curb, and ruined his credit score and ruined his chances at getting a house of his own that he had be working his ass off for years to get.
Now, for my whole point of view on this. I'm extremely disgusted to be involved with this band before. I am from the Quad Cities area (Davenport, Bettendorf, Moline, Rock Island), I considered these people in this band friends at one time. Old members though, Travis Harms, Lance Deshane, Zach Fulton, Max Nelson, Colton Menke, Joe Verstrate, etc since they can't keep a fucking solid lineup for a week at most, are all off doing bigger and better things with their lives and music. It just goes to show how quickly people can change and how quickly egos can develop into people. I am ashamed to be from that area now that this band has given the town a terrible fucking name. Don't ever expect to get a show in the Des Moines area, let alone anywhere in Iowa ever again. Fuck you Micah Martin, David Houseganganngan (However the fuck you spell your stupid ass name) and the current members of the band.
Main thing being, fuck Hello Ramona. Don't support ignorance and egotistical assholes like that. Re-blog this article to spread the word around about the terrible people and terrible band that was once, Hello Ramona.
