“ You’re saying it’s better to just give up? ” An eyebrow raised, Kael’s bewilderment is as genuine as it is wholly undisguised. There is a canting of the head too, as he narrows his eyes. Never has Kael been the most optimistic of men but, somehow, it still surprises him when other people take the harsh reality approach. Perhaps he has grown too accustomed to being corrected. “ What’s gloomier? Hanging onto a hopeless dream or having no dreams at all? ”
