"Good morning, good morning, good morning." It was a greeting that was an attempt to instill good feelings in his new patient: for being new to the clinic meant that he was susceptible to the doubt of those whose health fell into his slender grasp. The door was closed behind him as he entered the doctor's office where his patient had been asked to wait patiently.
He was an oddity, that one: that profoundly tall, sharp-eyed and sharp-featured young man; far too young to be a doctor of his calibre. Or at least, supposedly. If he was as good as they claimed he was in reception, he'd have at least been forty or so. But his youthful aesthetics indicated that he was barely past thirty.
"I apologise for the delay, miss... Colburn, is it? I'm Dr Reeds, it's a pleasure to meet you." The doctor prattled: not surprisingly, given his mannerisms and dismissive nature, he hadn't even glanced up at her yet. When he did, he was hardly attentive of details. A small smile as offered, though it could have been perceived as faux; it was the case, after all.
"What is it I can do for you today, hm?"
