               Hands marred by earthen will lift,           finding lifted halt next to flames that           burned ever so brightly in the evening           air. Even still as storms rage yonder the           mountain’s peak, garnering up a tension           within a bridge of scraped shoulders           and battered spine. Yet, through the trial           and tribulation of fierce lands and           unforgiving tumbles, she presses on all the while.

               A moment of reprieve to recollect on           all that’s happening and the challenges           yet to come. A breath drags past grooves           chapped from the rain and cold, spilling           like the distant waterfall.
