I was thinking of the word "Feminist" and why that bothers Men. I was raised by a Headstrong Mexican Man "Macho Man" change your car tires & oil kinda man. He didn't expect my mom to pay any kind of bills kinda man. Didn't want me to get a job as a teen kinda man. I was scared to bring a boy home kinda man ( Still prob am 🤦🏻♀️). When my mother started blooming in her career he wasn't intimidated by her, she would take trips to places and he felt happy and wasn't scared. He never felt Threatened. He is just very secure in who he is. The word Feminist doesn't bother him. In fact I would go As far as to say my Father is a Feminist. He lights up seeing my Mom shine. He is right beside her on her work trips. He Is happy for her success. BUT WHY? Because her Win doesn't diminish his. They are equal. He understands that they can both have it all. There's no competition. Feminism is about equality, not about diminishing Men. I think the Men in my life are just as important as the Women. When you comprehend that, you whole perspective changes and you're able to see why women are putting in this work. Why we still have a lot of work to do. We aren't trying to be Better than anyone. We are trying to all be human. There's places where women are still treated as pure objects. There's little girls that didn't have a Father or any Male figure to show them how they deserve to be loved and appreciated. I'm not saying they needed it, I'm saying they survived, thrived. Let's stop putting Feminism in a box and embrace it. You can be sexy and not be judged, my father never told my mother you're showing too much cleavage because really that didn't define who she was. Being a Feminist doesn't Make you less of a man, it makes you more of one. To the men that push the women in their life to be the best they can be, Thankyou. We need more Male Feminists in this world. #feminist #WcW #MenshouldbeFeminists #bossbabe #helloamigas
