He was stuck behind a counter perched on some hand-me-down stool with a wobbly leg. He looked at place in the antique store, his thrift shop clothes made him old-fashioned in this modern age. A mop of hair that had suddenly gone grey when he’d turned 18 was ill-kempt and looked almost dusty in the hazy air of the shop.
