One of the Best Moments for me at the Hello Kitty Friendship Festival VIP Launch Party Held at the Forum Los Angeles, Last Thursday Night. Was getting to chat with Artist/DIY/Jewerly Designer Onch of onchmovement. At the end of our chat I gave me him one of the bows I made from my Jacket. I said "I know it's just paper and you make your own jewelry pieces, but I want to give you one of mine" I then I asked if it was okay and pinned it to his Lanyard. He smiled, next thing he reaches for his Bowtie and takes it off then places it in my hand and holds my hand and says, "I don't normally do this, but I want to give this to you. This is one of my Personal Bowties I make for myself to wear. But I want to give it to you. It's 14 karat Gold and I want you to have it because I see and Love what you do for Hello Kitty and Sanrio. We want to Thank You" I was So Surprised! I was not expecting that at all. I even said "Oh no I don't want to ruin your outfit, I can wait till this Event is over" I kinda have this thing of being shy with accepting gifts. I started to Tear up, Because I look to Onch as a Positive Role Model in his being successful in what has does and he never loses the Love for people. And He is always Kind and Sharing. And coming from someone that I have a lot in common with makes it so much more Special! To have someone that inspires you and then take notice and praise you is the Best Gift of all!
