Traitor. The words continued to echo through his mind. Had he released his wings they would have betrayed his agitation. The word brought up so many memories, memories of a person who may as well have been dead. He barely turned his head as he sensed someone walk up behind him.
"Have you not heard? According to the lower tiers I may as well be one of Hell's creatures."
"How did I let things sink so far? I've never seen anyone so selfish--"
"Such a sad night when the clubs are lacking in a head count..." Lust muttered to himself with arms crossed. He'd been doing his rounds around the city in relative silence, not feeling a desire for attention to be drawn his way just yet. He preferred the idea of stirring up his own various forms of trouble and minor mayhem before considering making a big scene. Although, the borderline absence of people within his immediate vicinity was rather disappointing, which was likely to blame on the heavy snowfall. Apparently, there was a way to keep people off the streets of New York City after all... Or at least, keep a fairly large proportion of the people off the city streets.
"Suppose I'll have to make due with what I've got..." He spoke with a heavy sigh.
Chastity stared up at the building. The lights of Stark Tower remained undimmed despite the war that had raged around it. The Virtues fingers twitch as his Grace pulls at him yet again. But he cannot follow it.
He had tracked the low-level demons through the city, always just that far behind. Not that it would have done him any good to catch them; he had never claimed to be a fighter. But it still rankled, arriving just in time to see them drag the innocent man through the glass doors and knowing that he cannot follow.
The man would die and the soul would pass before it could be cleansed as the pull of Heaven decreed. Another lost.
------------- "Okay. I decided to lay low because my work is done, for the most part. But now--- I literally can't.
What the fuck has been going on and why the fuck is--- you know what. Just tell me and then I will commence to judge the living fuck out of you for it."
You are beautiful. You are so beautiful.
