Aria happened to be back at home, after realizing that she was homesick. Her house still had the same vibe, but it wasn't the same. She decided to go to her favourite café. Nothing there could have possibly changed.
And she was right.
Once in the café, Aria was pleased to see the same old café. Same tables, same chairs, same purple colour scheme. It was refreshing.
After ordering a hot chocolate and sitting down at the same table she had sat at previously for the last few years, Aria relaxed and sipped on the steaming drink, burning her tongue. She muttered something ugly under her breath.
As the bell attached to the front door chimed, Aria looked up to see an unfamiliar face. A cutesy girl, with long coral coloured hair and curious amber eyes. Aria had known everyone in her small town, but this girl was new.
Aria stood up to greet the girl at the door, though it was clearly not her job.
"Excuse me, but are you new around here? It's just that I know almost everyone around these parts, but I haven't seen you before." Her tone was kind, but stern. Change made her uneasy.
