Behind the scenes: Heading up the Make-up team at the Littlewoods SS15 Runway Show
This week saw the early arrival of springtime as Littlewoods show cased their upcoming Hello Petal collection for SS15 in the beautiful surroundings of the RHA Gallery bringing florals and splashes of bright colour to the fore on a cold and rainy November night.
I headed up the make-up team for the show starting at 9am preparing for a photo call with 2 of our models and Littlewoods spokesmodel Caroline Morahan (above). In the afternoon the rest of our girls arrived and work continued until final touches were added backstage at 7pm before then took their turn on the runway.
The make-up look I created was inspired by fresh cut flowers and rain soaked fields to go with the Hello Petal motif of the new collection. I kept skin clean and fresh by using water based concealers and then instead of powdering to set the base I chose a make-up setting spray from Diego Dalla Palma for a glowing, dewy finish.
Subtle highlights were created around the eyes, arch of brows and lips using the NYX Milk Jumbo pencil then brows were groomed and filled in used a fine pencil & brow gel. For lips I used 3 products layered up to create a more intense, rich & velvet effect starting with Diego Dalla Palma lip liner, Bourjois Velvet Matte Lipstick in "Grand Cru" and then a Chanel rouge allure lipstick.
