And just like that, here’s to 2022: for the family that stays, the family that keeps connected, to friends that remains true despite the rest of distance and time, for love that remains strong and radiant amidst knots and misconceptions, and for the better tomorrow we’re slowly realizing. Better version, foreal.

I feel like regrets don’t really exist in my books. I’m defiantly not the type of person to get peer pressured or follow people just because it’s cool. Everything I do in life is because I want to do it. 

Sometimes you have to go through certain things to learn a lesson from it. Learning from your mistakes is so important - if you actually learn from them and better yourself. 

I’ve been through so many things in life and I’m so grateful I have. Otherwise I wouldn’t be as happy as I am today. I’ve seen the most disgusting version of myself and I never want to revisit that version, ever again. 

I’m not my best version yet, but I am 100 times better than before. This isn’t only thanks to my past events in life or to me. I thank the people around me who never gave up on me, I thank the people who made me realize that the doubts I had stored in my head aren’t true, I thank the people who understood what mistakes I was making but let me make them so I can learn from them. 

I do thank myself to actually take the time, look at my past, analyze it and observe everything I did.  I want to thank myself for creating courage to crush this ugly version of myself and starting a much healthier one. I want to thank the special people in my life who made helped me crush this ugly version and allowed me to discover the brand new person I am. 

Self love is so important. It’s great to be selfless, but sometimes you have to be a little selfish for certain things in life. I’m glad I know the fine line of being a little selfish and a whole lotta selfish.
