It's been what? Two days now, a week? He's not sure, but he's sat with the rejection, in his own home, far away from the hotel, with the song Love Is Embarrassing on repeat, because honestly, it was embarrassing. He'd let someone in, let them close, and once he was to the point he thought maybe ... he went and fucked it up, proposed, and he ran out. He's standing in front of his mirror, downing another glass of Sazerac. He's utterly miserable and wishes that he'd never unlocked the feelings.

The music is loud enough to drown him out, him coming towards him. Before he knows it, Lucifer is clinging to him, and he's staring down at him, walls pulled back up and ready to protect himself. His fingers snap, and the music goes quiet. "Nice of you to finally give me an answer."

     how   could   the   sin   of   lust   be   forced   to   be   stuck   doing   PAPERWORK   ?    ?    nothing   fun   or   sexy   about   paperwork.   there's   an   exhausted   sigh.   fingers   rubbing   against   his   eyes.   maybe   he   should   take   a   break. 

        there's   a   moment   where   he   does   nothing.   face   staying   within   the   palm   of   his   hand,   eyes   falling   closed   as   he   finds   himself   dozing   off.   but   then   he   feels   movement   going   up   his   leg.   slithering   movement.   making   eyes   snap   open   just   in   time   to   feel   slight   wriggling   within   his   lap.   this   caused   him   to   slide   back   in   his   chair   immediately.   looking   to   see   a   white   snake   that   soon   poofs   into   a   certain   king   of   hell.   there's   a   quiet   snort   that   gets   followed   by   a   small   bit   of   giggling.   warm   smile   upon   his   lips. 

         ❝ Oh   if   it   isn't   the   apple   of   my   eye   !    ❞           he's   hunching   over   to   rub   fluffy   cheek   against   lucifer's.   light   cooing   coming   from   him.   arms   wrapping   around   the   smaller   sin.           ❝ Did   ya   know   I   was   in   need   of   a   break   ?    Are   you   keeping   tabs   on   me   ~   ?    ❞

Emily easily fluttered her eyelashes back at him, resting her head in her hands. "I'm glad you accept...I've never been so, it would be like, really, really cool that it could be special and that I got to go with you for the first time." She sat back, easily hiding her wings, so she looked more human. "See, all I have to do is hide those, and I'm good!"

"Goodness! So majestic! We work demonhood so well, darling! The little ears are so charming too, can you move them?" Oh the urge to touch them was strong but instead he'd simple clasp his arms behind himself, rocking eagerly on his heels as he studied the stag.
