One of my favourite things in this world...

...is finding out that Rupert Friend wrote Quinn’s letter to Carrie that was featured in 5x12. He said it just came to him on a flight home once. It made me admire and love him so much more as an actor and a human being, because not only does he play the part and bring it to life... but he deeply understands who Peter Quinn is (was) so far as to come up with written dialogue and plots that fit flawlessly in the script and fit his character exactly.

So here’s cheers to Rupert once again - for making me cry my eyes dry and love you with all my heart. ❤️

The Hand, The Reshoot rumor, and HL Fandom freakout

Just thinking back to that horrible week between 4.11 and 4.12.  All the analysis we did of The Hand, the photo from The Dinner.  Is it Khan's hand, is it Quinn's?  Just freaking the fuck out.  Also, the reddit rumor that showed a reshoot, It was correct, and we now know the reshoot was The Kiss reshoot.  Fascinating to see what the fandom went through, all the anxiety, speculation, worry and malaise. 

I would like to point out that Sara was right - it was Quinn's hand, he didn't die, and we all should have taken a fucking chill pill.  Note to self: in the future, trust Sara. 

And take a fucking chill pill.

HYH podcast for the season finale is so adorable

Everyone should listen to it.  Sara just mentioned the secondary characters in season 4 and it reminded me of my post here where I talked about how I loved the secondary characters in season 4.  The ISI people, Martha, even Dennis (for being vile), Redmond etc. 

Contrast that with how much I did NOT like the Brody family, Mike (even though he was ok in Pacific Rim :), Walden and family ... seriously - soooooo different.  Season 4 was, overall such a strong season in terms of story, action, character development and also giving us interesting secondary characters.  Also, less Saul for a period of time which is always a plus.
