There is nothing more terrifying than seeing supernatural trending and thinking “oh shit what earth changing event happened this time”
only to find out that nothing happened. This is just the supernatural website. It does that sometimes.
At first I was confused because 4 pearls?? But his mom can’t come back with them in the story that not how this works??
Then I realized. They’re giving us hope, and they’re gonna steal it away at the moment we’re most vulnerable. That pearl is naught but a pearl of angst waiting to happen.
I love the clarification that Luke’s pitch is actually pretty good, pretty convincing…until the mortals are considered. In the end, the reason Percy doesn’t join Luke isn’t because he wants to save the Olympians or “western civilization” or any of that, it’s because he’s too in touch with Sally and his mortal side to be okay with letting the mortal world die. It’s isn’t about the gods. It’s about humanity. It’s all because of Sally.
My initial reaction to Gabe turning into a statue via Medusa’s head was disappointment that Sally didn’t girlboss him into a statue, but in second thought, it is immensely satisfying that his own horrible tendencies (i.e. snooping in other people’s business like Sally’s calls and then Percy’s package) directly brought on his own downfall. He had no one to blame but himself. That’s what I call poetic justice
“Are you already dry?”
Cackling at how they brush past this so fast but also obsessed with these little crumbs of Percy being abnormal around water
