too late.

you’ve been lying awake in bed for almost an hour now. your head resting on Luke’s chest, listening to the sound of his heart beating. he holds you close with his strong arms wrapped around you and kisses the top of your head so now and then. ‘i love you Hemmings.’ you tell him as you look up to face him. ’ i love you too babe. ’ he smiles before kissing you gently. ’ let’s get out of bed, i have to rehearse with the boys today, remember?’ you nod and move a bit, letting Luke get up. you watch as he walks to the other side of the room, picking up the clothes he needs for today. you often ask yourself why he chose you, while he could get every girl in the world. you are glad he chose you though, you don’t know what you would do without him. ‘what are you thinking about, sexy?’ Luke asks, noticing you staring at him. ‘nothing.’ you smile, also getting out of bed. ‘what happens if i steal this?’ you smirk, pointing at the clothes he’s holding. ‘i won’t be able to go to the studio and i would have to walk around naked, why?’ ‘watch me.’ you say before quickly grabbing his shirt and running downstairs. you hear him laugh and he then follows you. ‘i think you look great babe.’ you joke and open the front door. ‘don’t you dare to go outside!’ ‘too late.’

there you are, running down the street, with your half-naked boyfriend chasing after you. you cross the street and wait a second. ‘you want it?’ you shout at Luke, who is still on the other side of it. ‘yes!’ ‘then come and get it.’ you wink, trying to control your breath. you hear a loud sigh coming out of Luke’s mouth followed by him starting to run again. you giggle and throw his shirt in the air before catching it. you laugh at him running towards you, but your smile suddenly gets replaced by fear when you see it.

‘Luke, watch out!’ a massive Range Rover is coming towards him in high speed and it doens’t look like it’s going to slow down. ‘Luke!’ you try again, but it’s too late. you see your boyfriend getting hit by the car in front of you and you freeze in shock. but as soon as the man comes out of the car, calling an ambulance, you flash back to reality. you run across the street, falling down on your knees next to your boyfriend’s now lifeless body, which is covered in blood. you place your hand under his head carefully, giving it the ability to rest on it. ‘Luke babe, wake up, hold on please!’ you pleed, crying your eyes out. you feel his head moving a bit before he whispers the words ‘don’t cry, i’ll be back.’ with all the power he has left. you wipe away your tears and try to smile, which is hard when you can feel him slowly fading away again. ‘please don’t leave me Luke…’
