context: my wife @damnfool-of-a-took and i have been doing a hemostuck!fantrolls rp for, like, two years now, maybe? and from very early on we decided we wanted to match two of the characters together pale, but since in their original canon-compliant rp universe they crashed into diamonds at high speed and had to sort it out after, we decided to go with slow burn mutual pining this time. we sowed the seeds almost immediately. two years, multiple writing-stopping bouts of depression, and 354,557 words later, they finally fucking confessed.

i am proud of us and incredibly exasperated at the universe simultaneously, because we seriously did not mean for slow burn to be that slow, OK?
