Thomas Whitaker, from “Heningbury”
im uhm. im not sure what happened to me. i think i hauve covid.
underrated ship dynamic is when they both think they’re being sweet and romantic and charming to each other and the viewer is sitting their mouth agape at how large and vibrant these red flags are
Tragedy is inevitable. You cannot ignore it, you cannot run from it.
“Heningbury” now updated to chapter 25. Enjoy my doomed yaoi vampire fiction. :3

Chapters 11 & 12 are now published! Nearly 10k words of my horrible idiot vampire son and his horrible idiot accountant.
no you don’t understand. thomas is so desperate for attention that even when he sleeps he’s holding onto his pillow like it’s another human soul. he needs to be loved so badly that it overrides every other instinct he has
vampiressss
Elijah is just really bad at taking care of himself. It’s like comical, really. And I think it comes from the fact that he is very very very socially anxious and afraid that Thomas will figure out that he’s a monster, which results in him depriving himself of his basic needs. Arleya *hates* this. What does it matter if the accountant figures out he’s a vampire? She still retained all of her skills after being turned, so presumably Elijah could just turn Thomas and make him keep finishing the work.
Elijah insists it doesn’t work like that. The truth, I think, is that he doesn’t want to hurt Thomas. He’s strange and blunt and the thought of doing anything that might corrupt his personhood seems detestable. It is paradoxical then, that the longing of hunger has begun to also bring a hunger for him. But the desire not to hurt Mr. Whitaker is stronger than the desire to feed from him. For now, at least.
You should go read “Heningbury” Chapter 36, and meet the wonderful and frightening vampire hunter, Abraham Sherwood.
