24 avril 1617.

Equestrian portrait of Henry IV of France. Unknown artist.
Cool... kinda spooky, but potentially very cool...
Though I want to know how they're sure - given the sacking of all the St Denis royal tombs during the Revolution - that this is his head, come to think of it. Henri IV's body was noted at the time to be the most intact of the various royal corpses, but after exposure for several days it was chucked into a common grave with all the others. Louis XVIII then had them reburied after the Restoration, so presumably this team are hoping that a) people recalled accurately where the common grave was and b) Henri IV's body was still the most well-preserved of the lot, and so was assigned correctly back to his tomb.
King Henry IV of France. Artist unknown.
