I’ll be honest, at first I was really turned off from Henria. It was kinda icky to me, since it felt like it was encouraging the mindset that even if a girl says no to a guy, the guy refusing to leave her alone and wearing her down will eventually make her like him. And…No. Henry’s behavior should not be encouraged like that.
And even though I still think that about canon, I’ve kinda come around to Henria in fanon. For one, it has that really funny Literal Goddess x Some Guy dynamic. But more importantly, I can see a universe where through self-reflection and character parallels (Lia’s crush on Jake and Henry’s crush on Lia, etc.), they could become friends. And only after both of them become friends and appreciate each other as people, not idealized versions of themselves, do they form a romantic connection.
So I guess the point of this is to say sorry Henria nation for judging you guys so hard during my first months here in the TMF fandom. I am indeed starting to see the vision.
