My Thoughts On Season 2 Henry
The OG Henry actor didn't come back for season 2, so they recast him. And I know a lot of fans are upset or just don't like the new Henry. But I love him!
Season 1 Henry was only a year or two sober after struggling with drug addition for who knows how long (personally, i think I makes a lot of sense that he would have struggled from childhood just due to the nature of gangs, mobs, and the mafia). So he was very subdued. But we saw that he had a freaker side.
In the scene where he walked in on what he assumed was foreplay, he was shocked but supportive and even offered to get them condoms and lube, immediately speculating on his boss's "top or bottom" experience and was clearly tickled pink by the idea of Gabe and Seb. He would do anything for his boss and his boss's love.
And in season 2, we see that "anything." He has a freaker side that he wasn't allowed to explore or ever met anyone who could match his freak. And now he had that. And he was able to express that. I love that for him! Is it "out of character" for him? We dont actually know!!! He still treated Serena with respect in public. It was only in private that they went freaky.
He went out of his way to sleep with Gabe's new wife to help save Seb and Gabe's relationship, found someone who matched his freak, and when she got pregnant, I headcannon that he and her planned giving the baby to Seb and Gabe from the get go.
I think Henry is as complex and layered as anyone else!
Henry is a true ride or die right-hand man to Sebastian, and I am HERE FOR IT!!
