The Sting Collection by Henry Designs NY
Beginning as a single strand with clasp, Sting by Henry Designs was created in 2008 as a collaborative concept by the Henry Designs team. Since then, the line’s popularity has grown exponentially, offering clients high-end jewelry with an abundance of fun and exciting styles to choose from. Sting was also featured in the January 2012 issue of ELLE Magazine as a must-have accessory for any occasion. Sting by Henry Designs accessories all begin with exclusively imported Grade 1 stingray skin. (All materials used are considered non-CITES, and the animals were not killed for sport.) To maintain everlasting beauty, the skin undergoes a special color dying process. After this process, the skin is hand wrapped and tailored to fit any size wrist. A simple wrist measurement is all we need to guarantee the piece will comfortably fit its new owner. Hand furnished by our expert craftsmen, each ornamental section and clasp on the bracelets come in pure-silver and gold. This special hardware has its own unique method of opening and closing in order to ensure sturdiness all while maintaining its elegance.
Create Your Sting
Appropriate for any event or function, the Sting by Henry Designs line is one of our most popular pieces. While customers can purchase any of the different colors and styles available (see available bracelets here), customers also have the opportunity to have their own Sting bracelet completely customized. Beyond choosing from different colors, customers can also choose the type of of hardware and stones they like, giving their Sting accessory the ultimate customized experience. Gem choice gives the option of having black diamonds, collection diamonds, rubies, and emeralds along with many others available at request. Hardware choices vary from yellow gold, rose gold, platinum and pure silver, to 24k gold plate and rose gold plated metals. Prices vary depending on how many strands are in the bracelet and what type of metals and stones are used. Scientist Turned Artist
Although he started out as an engineering professor, teaching the science of gems and crystals, a certain shine caught the eye of Henrick Perelstein. Shifting his focus to concentrate on diamonds, Henrick began to study and teach himself everything there was to know about this precious stone.
Simply put, Henrick fell in love with diamonds. While the engineer in him had always been fascinated with diamonds, the artist in him began to see the gems as a canvas, ready to be turned into a masterpiece. Henrick sought partnership with someone that was just as passionate about this craft as he was, and could help him produce the luxurious jewelry he envisioned.
The Perfect Match
Henry Rayski, an FIT graduate, had honed his skills working with David Webb, an iconic jewelry designer of the 1950s and 60s. His skill level in jewelry crafting was unmatched. As one of the original craftsman for Tiffany and Co.’s iconic tennis bracelet, a piece so intricate few had the skills to produce it, it was clear to Henrick that Henry was the type of talent he was looking for.
In 1981, Henry Designs came to life.
Together, Henry and Henrick began to produce luxurious jewelry pieces using only the highest quality diamonds available. The way in which they view their craft as an art form, as opposed to a manufacturing process, has allowed them to maintain Henry Designs’ high standard of quality and beauty.
As one of the last remaining American manufacturers of high-end diamond jewelry, Henry Designs takes pride in offering jewelry pieces so luxurious, their quality is incomparable.
