Well. Not daily. But it’s been a long day so imma relax with some of these.

🍓 Mordred has poor eyesight but keen aether-sense. He can’t tell a flamingo and an uncooked chicken apart from a distance of 10 feet but he can tell an approaching magitek ship, with its humming aether converters, from 5 miles away. It translates to tripping a lot and not being able to read road signs, which leads to Mordred being the king of getting lost (also because bad sense of direction), but outside of goldsmith work, Mordred refuses to wear glasses.

He’s afraid to admit he has yet another physical handicap, in some parts. He was a sickly child, and suffers breathing issues well into adulthood, and it pains him to admit more frailty.

🍆 Maruk’s actual favorite food, unironically, is roasted eggplants dosed in garlic sauce. He also looks like an eggplant and if phones are a thing would abuse the emoji, but that’s neither here nor there.

👕 Henry loathes wearing anything that doesn’t have a high collar. He has nothing to hide. His neck is just sensitive and he has a habit of rubbing his neck when he’s nervous or thinking, and it’s meant to curb that.

🎻 Seihan can learn spoken languages very, very quickly, but he can’t play instruments. Any instruments. He is also (predictably) incapable of dancing...well, at least.

Henry’s mother was a Hyur lesser noblewoman in Ishgard who bailed tf out when her father started being suspected of heresy, marrying a rich man somewhere in Gridania and moving there.

Her husband died young, not because his wife poisoned him or anything like that (as Gridanians were wont to suspect). Just an illness. But it was true that his wife didn’t miss him. She took over his fortunes and business and expanded on it — trading nobility for cold, hard profit as it were.

Henry was, and is, her only surviving child. The result of a fling with an ex-captain of the Gods’ Quiver. His father was elezen, worked as a first-tier craftsman now, and they rarely spoke, nor did he acknowledge Henry as his bastard, nor did he protect him from whispers and accusations from his peers growing up.

As far as Henry cared, he had no father. His relationship with his mother was...lacking, given his disapproval of her ruthless, tactless way of dealing with friends and rivals alike. It was one of many reasons he moved to Limsa Lominsa and worked for the Arcanists’ Guild with minimal funds or help from family.

Fun fact his mom hated Lady Amandine and used to hire rogues to break into her house and vandalize or steal things.
