Fics I really want to read: Mother's Day

When mother's day comes around, Henry has the idea to bring in breakfast-in-bed. Judy offers to help because it's the exact kind if sweet gesture she loves so much.

The boys look at her like she's grown another head. Henry pouts and Charlie rolls his eyes. They tell her no thank you. Judy is just a bit heartbroken, but she's used to disappointment so she lets it be.

On Mother's Day itself, Charlie manages to keep Henry from burning the food. Henry drags Judy from the guesthouse and dumps her on his mother's bed before taking off again.

Judy sits there bewildered as fuck, but Jen is already laughing her ass off. In a few minutes, Charlie and Henry both troop in, a breakfast tray laden with food balanced between the two of them.

There's the usual fare: eggs, bacon, and toast. There are two steaming cups of coffee, and on each is an attempt at milky hearts. But what catches Judy's eye the most is the little cake right in the center of their little feast.

Judy starts crying right then and there.

okay so what if henry and charlie are giving judy gifts on mothers day just because. charlie reasons that shes probably cooked them pancakes and stuff for mothers’ day breakfast anyway so its basically an exchange of gifts. and as usual she thanks them and appreciates the boys deeply. but that night shes like basically full on crying into jens arms because oh my god they feel that shes family. shes a mother to them these days, too. 

and jens just like smh obviously youre our family. dumbass.
