The Information of Francis Glossop of Compton Street Soho Spermaceti Refiner Abrahm Wavell of Wentworth Street Spitalfields Tallow Chandler and Henry Soames of Catealon Street London Tallow Chandler Taken the 16th day of January 1784
Who being on their Oaths say and First the said Frances Glossop for himself saith That the Cake of Spermaoceti now produced is the property of him this [..] Informant and was Stolen from out of his Shop in Compton Street aforesaid between Friday and Tuesday last
This Informants Abraham Wavell for himself saith that he Agreed to purchase the said Cake of Spermaoceti of the person now present who says his name is James Scott and to give him one Shilling and Ten pence per pound for the same, That he saw the said Cake in the prisoners Shop in Whitegate Street Bishopgate on Tuesday last and on Wednesday it was brought to this Informants Shop in Wentworth Street aforesaid by the Prisoner and there leftit That on the Evening of the same day he sent the said Spermaoceti to [..] The House of Mr. Henry [..] Soames in Cateaton Street StreetLondon in Expectation of who had agreed to his purchaseing of this Informant
And this Informant Henry Soames for himself saith that the said Cake of Spermaoceti was brought to his Houseas aforesaid on Wednesday Evening last as afore said for the purpose aforesaid That but,on Enquiry hearing that the said Francis Glossop hadLost a Cake of Spermaoceti he sent to him who came to this Informants House and owned the same
